For this one-night only performance, trumpet and bass trailblazer Feven Kidane will be paying tribute to the legendary Mandido Morris, a Vancouver-based percussionist known for his work with Gino Vanelli and Bruce Cockburn, and the founder of the ManDido Drum Circle at Spanish Banks. This band features some of the best this city has to offer, including: Feven Kidane – Bass Graham Ord – Sax/Flute (Original member of Mandido’s band) Ben Millman – Keys Yoro Noukoussi – Percussion Miles Wong – Drum kit Jonny Tobin – synthesizer This performance is part of Social Music, a monthly series presented by Infidels Jazz at Hero’s Welcome. A monthly ukulele jam circle at Hero's Welcome - mostly seniors but all ages and skill levels are welcome! $5 donation recommended which goes to Hero's Welcome's charitable partners. Anyone can lead a song or perform (5 spots available) up at the mic in front of the room. Loaner songbooks are available. Please email judithlynne57@yahoo.ca or jaeitan59@gmail.com for more info.
