Honour House Society Fundraiser & Concert
Join us on Remembrance Day for an evening of live music in support of the Honour House Society! Honour House is a refuge, a “home away from home” for members of our Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, Emergency Services Personnel and their families to stay, completely free of charge, while they are receiving medical care and treatment in the Metro Vancouver area. Honour House receives no direct funding and raises all of its operating costs through donations and fundraising. The evening will feature live music from Vancouver’s bluegrass quintet, 5 on a String, along with a few special guests! Vancouver’s famous singalong night is coming to Hero’s Welcome! Hard Rock Miners will be throwing an epic singalong on Thurs. Nov. 28. It’s all the fun of live band karaoke without the stage fright because the whole room is singing along! And just in case you need a little liquid courage, we’ll have Cazadores on special all night. Uke Strummers Afternoon Jam Circle
A monthly ukulele jam circle at Hero's Welcome - mostly seniors but all ages and skill levels are welcome! $5 donation recommended which goes to Hero's Welcome's charitable partners. Anyone can lead a song or perform (5 spots available) up at the mic in front of the room. Loaner songbooks are available. Please email judithlynne57@yahoo.ca or jaeitan59@gmail.com for more info.
