Betty Davis was one of the most important voices of 1970’s funk….a flamboyant pop diva a full decade before there was such a thing, with a discography full of sexually aggressive and incredibly funky tunes that weren’t hits, but should have been.

She’s long been an influence on Vancouver based keyboardist, producer, and all-around phenom Mary Ancheta, which has led Mary to this special night at Hero’s Welcome full of Davis’ most loved tunes, as well as some deep cuts.
