The Infidels Presents: Shruti Ramani’s Birthday Bash
Shruti Ramani is one of the Canadian Jazz scene's brightest young lights, combining vocal jazz excellence with Hindustani traditions and influences. From her bold new album with Raagaverse to recent collaborations with the Hard Rubber Orchestra, Shruti is at the forefront of the creative music scene in this country. For this special show at Hero's Welcome, Shruti will be celebrating her birthday with the debut of a brand new band, featuring Jon Bentley on saxophones, Noah Franche-Nolan on piano, Wynston Minckler on bass, and special guest Valérie Lacombe on drums, who will be visiting from Montreal. They will be performing a mix of Shruti's originals, Jazz standards, and deep cuts.
