Hero’s Welcome is throwing a block party! In collaboration with Main St. Car Free Day and the Mount Pleasant Business Association, on Sunday, September 15 we’ll be closing off the 100 block of E 23rd Ave. from 12-7PM for a day of community, delicious food and drink, and music. Leave the car at home and walk, bike, roll or scoot your way down to Main and 23rd where we’ll be serving up pizza by the slice, ice cold bevs and featuring some great live music from local artists: 1:00PM - The Potentials 2:15PM - Infidels Jazz presents Jason De Couto Trio 3:30PM - JP Maurice 4:45PM - Spank Williams 5:45PM - Classics by Classic (DJ) Full food and drink menu will also be available all day. The Hero’s Welcome Block Party is free to attend and open to all ages (minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian).
A monthly ukulele jam circle at Hero's Welcome - mostly seniors but all ages and skill levels are welcome! $5 donation recommended which goes to Hero's Welcome's charitable partners. Anyone can lead a song or perform (5 spots available) up at the mic in front of the room. Loaner songbooks are available. Please email judithlynne57@yahoo.ca or jaeitan59@gmail.com for more info. Venue is closed to non-participants of the jam circle during this time but the bar opens to the public at 3PM.

Harbourside Nights Grad Celebration & Artist Showcase! A night of great music and warm relations - we gather with the community of SAE Institute Vancouver to celebrate the accomplishments of graduates. 6:30PM - Late || 19+ || No cover Come one come all! Open to graduates, current students and esteemed faculty members! An eclectic blend of entertainment will be performed during the Artist Showcase and SAE will pay homage to the grand achievements of their graduates with the presentation of grad plaques and diplomas.
